The leading Norwegian activewear brand adds the Modular Ride Infinity Jacket to its strong ski and sailing offering, aiming to reach out also to the modern commuter. It’s a 2-in-1, and whether you wear it as a jacket or as a utility vest, it has bike-specific features, including the company’s flagship — the waterproof and breathable membrane Lifa Infinity — as well as a protection fabric called Helly Tech, multiple pockets, and high-visibility details. Since small design details have a big impact on the comfort, the brand also added a tail drop with silicon grip and a wicking collar, while side and back vents empower control of the body temperature based on exertion.
— We designed the jacket for today’s urban commuters who, more and more, choose to walk or cycle to work. We looked at their needs as they navigate through different urban environments with shifting terrain, traffic, and weather to get from A to B. Our collaboration with rescue personnel in both cities and the wilderness was extremely important when developing it, as they know exactly what they need in a jacket for optimal comfort, safety and protection so that they can focus on their job, says Dorte Vedal, design director urban.
