Lynk & Co expand their Scandinavian presence with new Stockholm club
Lynk & Co’s latest club follows the formula of its international siblings — a downtown space, local imprints, and a complete disregard of regular car dealership norms.

Today, the Volvo-owned mobility brand Lynk & Co opens its newest club in downtown Stockholm. It’s the seventh club globally, but the second one in Sweden along with the already existing Gothenburg space. The new club is located on Norrlandsgatan in Bibliotekstan, interestingly enough on the same street as sister company Polestar, another EV brand owned by Volvo.

— We always want to place our clubs in the middle of the city, and Norrlandsgatan really is the perfect spot for us. We will be surrounded by interesting, creative brands and like-minded people and brands, explains Lynk & Co CEO Alain Visser (read our podcast with him here).

The 100 square meter space is definitely small if you compare it to traditional car dealerships, but just like other Lynk & Co clubs the Stockholm space only has one car on show. Other cars are available nearby for test drives, but the car brand wants the space to be a social space rather than just a place to purchase a car.

The club is designed and decorated in collaboration with New Order Arkitektur, with elements of raw concrete and vibrant 3D-printed furniture and also a shop.

We know that every Lynk & Co club includes products for sale with a local connection. What are some of the local stuff you’ve put on display for this club?

— Yes, we do have some local Stockholm brands in the club, such as Urskog, A Good Company, Kultur 5 and OM-SE. We like to keep things interesting and change the products we offer every now and then, as well as bring in new interesting brands that share our values on environmental and social sustainability, Visser says.

So, Lynk & Co are starting to settle down in Sweden. What about the rest of the Nordics?

As we have an online sales model, we are already available in all of Europe. For now, our focus is to have clubs in all our main markets; Sweden, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France and Belgium. This year we have opened seven clubs and next year we are looking at up to 20 clubs across those markets. After that, several new markets will be added, Visser concludes.
