Niclas and Christine Lydeen have created luxury perfume for over a decade for their niche fragrance brand Agonist. In 2020, they founded CRA-YON, aiming to create attainable high-end fragrances. That same year, Josefin Landgård and Stina Lönnkvist founded MANTLE, using the cannabis-derived extract CBD to challenge the norms in the skincare space.
Together, they’re releasing The High Road today, where an exclusive roll-on oil fragrance meets CBD oil. The top notes are Fig Leaf, Sage, and CBD, while Coconut, Violet, and Lily are the heart notes, and Amber, Vetiver, Cedarwood, and Musk are base notes.
— Ever since we founded MANTLE, we’ve dreamed of creating this product. We’re experts in CBD and CRA-YON in perfume making and together we wanted to capture the essence of cannabis and turn it into a fragrance. When CRA-YON presented the scent we were completely floored. It’s like nothing you smelled before! To us, it was essential to create a multipurpose product: The High Road is part CBD oil, part aromatherapy, and part signature scent, Josefin Landgård comments.

In The High Road the great qualities of MANTLE’s organic CBD oil combined with our scent composition of Milky Fig and Green Cannabis creates an experience that pushes the needle forward of what a scent can be, says Niclas Lydeen.
To use The High Road on the go, the fragrance is accompanied by a carry-on holster in recycled polyester, sourced and hand-knitted in Italy by sustainable stocking brand Swedish Stockings.
