Renasens wins Global Change Award
The Stockholm-based company has been named a winner of the 2025 Global Change Award for its waterless textile recycling technology.
23 May 2025

Stockholm-based textile recycling company Renasens has been announced as one of the winners of the 2025 Global Change Award, the international innovation challenge presented by the H&M Foundation. The company is recognised for its waterless process that enables high-quality recycling of blended textile waste—one of the fashion industry’s most difficult material challenges.

Founded by Jade Abir Bouledjouidja and joined by Nora Eslander as Head of Business Operations, Renasens is part of a new generation of Swedish companies aiming to reshape the global fashion supply chain. Their patented process eliminates the need for water and harsh chemicals, making it both energy-efficient and scalable for commercial textile waste streams.

“Being recognised by the prestigious Global Change Award shines a spotlight on a critical truth: cost-effective textile recycling is still a missing link,” says founder Jade Abir Bouledjouidja. “With our completely different approach and technology, we’re not just imagining change – we’re making it happen. We’re grateful to be part of this year’s incredible cohort and excited for what’s to come!”

“Winning the prestigious Global Change Award is more than recognition, it’s a validation that we’re onto something big,” adds Nora Eslander. “There’s a lot of hard work going into scaling a technology and this award definitely fuels us for what lies ahead!”

The Global Change Award, launched by the H&M Foundation in partnership with Accenture and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, selects early-stage innovations with the potential to make fashion more sustainable. Renasens joins a global cohort of 2025 winners spanning areas such as natural dyes, RFID alternatives, and low-emission finishing.
