Ahead of the much-anticipated Phone (2) launch in July, London-based tech innovator Nothing has unveiled a new function called the Glyph Composer, allowing for visual ringtones. This launch marks an industry-first creative collaboration with GRAMMY Award-nominated electronic music trio, Swedish House Mafia.
Designed to empower Phone (2) and Phone (1) users, the Glyph Composer paves the way for the creation of personalised ringtones. These are bespoke sequences of sounds coupled with corresponding light displays that bring the rear of Nothing’s smartphones to life. Upon finding their unique rhythm, users are enabled to produce their customised Glyph Ringtone, using the exclusive Glyph Sound Pack from Swedish House Mafia. Alternatively, users may choose a ready-made Glyph Ringtone, expertly arranged by the celebrated music trio.
A fully crafted Glyph Ringtone will be an 8–10 second composition, supplied as a multitrack audio file. Every sound pack includes a selection of five distinct tones and sound mixes, providing a creative soundscape for users to explore.
Speaking on this pioneering collaboration, Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing, states:
— Given that Axwell, Steve, and Sebastian have been early supporters of Nothing, our collaboration on this product seemed a natural progression. We are eagerly looking forward to the creations our global user base will produce with this innovative platform.
— Collaborating with the team at Nothing in London to introduce a smartphone innovation that bridges the realms of music and technology has been thrilling. From the start, we’ve admired Carl Pei and the vision of Nothing, and we take pride in being the pioneer creatives to introduce a Glyph Composer sound pack. We eagerly await the unique remixes our fans and Nothing users will create, Swedish House Mafia members, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, says.
Upon the Phone (2) launch in July 11, the Glyph Composer will be available across all Nothing smartphones. The Swedish House Mafia Glyph Ringtone and Glyph Sound Pack will be released this summer.
