With a more than century-long history, Haglöfs launched its lightweight yet functional L.I.M (Less Is More) Series over 20 years ago. This fall, the Swedish outdoor clothing and apparel brand presents L.I.M Series Z|T, a layering system focusing on ensuring comfort in a wide range of temperatures.

— The collection builds upon that experience [of launching the L.I.M Series]. But it’s also the result of going back to the drawing board. We asked ourselves how we could elevate adaptability and performance to better meet the demands of adventurers and ended up thinking beyond the three-layer layering theory altogether, says Annsofie Jakobsson, head of design.

L.I.M Series Z|T uses recycled materials and all trims and details are designed to be easily repairable. What the brand describes as a ”synchronized layering system” features a double mid-layer system — Mid Sync 1 Jacket and Mid Sync 2 Jacket — to be worn alone or attached together, that takes care of heat energy while venting out moisture. The layering system then promises to deliver 30% less humidity than conventional modern ones and also to keep the temperature stable through a wide range of activities and reduce the feeling of being too hot or too cold.

Closest to the body, L.I.M Z|T Base is made from a technical Polartec material, optimized to rapidly move humidity away from the skin and dry fast. Except for the two mentioned mid-layer jackets, the Z|T line also includes Mtn GTX Pro Jacket — specifically designed for mountaineering — and Trek GTX Pro Jacket — made for long days on rough trails — which are both made from GORE-TEX Pro Shell with stretch. The same goes for the L.I.M Z|T Shell GTX Pro Pant, designed for intense Nordic mountain pursuits in harsh conditions.
