Zeabuz is a leading provider of autonomous navigation solutions. The platform allows easy adaptation and a comprehensive safety assurance process including the use of advanced simulators, that offers transparency to their AI systems. EVOY designs, develops, and delivers electric inboard and outboard motor systems, bringing electric boating into commercial and leisure markets.

As the maritime sector is moving away from fossil fuels, the two players’ brand-new cooperation aims to change waterborne mobility. The result, they claim, is a game-changing innovation.

— With electric, self-driving capabilities and advanced digital security sets the stage for key advancements in the industry. Both of our technologies fit many use cases, says Zeabuz CEO, Erik Dyrkoren.

Although decarbonisation is an expensive proposition for many commercial boat operators, these two forces optimise efficiency in operations to deliver both financial and environmental value.

— The future requires betting on electric vessels and AI now. It’s cost-effective, and sustainable solutions across the board, Evoy CEO and founder, Leif Stavøstrand, explains.

”One day, in the not-too-distant future, we will have self-driving taxi boats and recreational boats that go from A-to-B even at high speeds”

The next step is the development of a test vessel that incorporates AI technology and an electric motor system, set to launch on the fjords this summer.

— Norway has a strong ecosystem of maritime technologically advanced companies getting ready for commercialisation outside of Norway and now we’re doing it together. I think it’s awesome, says Dyrkoren.

— When commuter and harbor vessels normalise automated zero-emission operations, we expect the technology to trickle down to many more vessels and boats. One day, in the not-too-distant future, we will have self-driving taxi boats and recreational boats that go from A-to-B even at high speeds. It will revolutionise the way we travel — opening the waterways to decongest large metropolises sustainably! Stavøstrand concludes.
