When making its new Damavand carpet, SAERK has used a chemical-free production process, which avoids adhesives, latex, or any synthetic chemicals. Not only does it make it safer for indoor environments but also facilitates composting or recycling without environmental harm. Crafted from sisal, a robust natural fibre, the carpet features a blend of jute, kenaf, and hemp, ensuring both durability and biodegradability. According to the brand, a sustainable sourcing and efficient production processes has also significantly lowered its environmental impact.

— The mission is to redefine the intersection of sustainability and design, honouring our Eastern roots while embracing Scandinavian innovation. With our recyclable sisal carpet collection, we’re not just creating beautiful interiors but paving the way for a greener, more conscious future in commercial spaces, says Bobby Baktash, founder.
