Our Legacy opens its workshop doors to welcome a world of upcycling
Our Legacy brings its circular Work Shop concept to Soho, marking a significant expansion of the brand’s upcycling-first approach and strengthening its presence outside Stockholm.
20 Nov 2025

On November 14th, Our Legacy opened its doors to its new Work Shop outpost at 6 Smiths’ Court in Soho – a move that reflects how central the concept has become to the brand. Arriving just over a decade after the brand first entered the London scene, the new store becomes only the second Work Shop location outside Stockholm, underscoring the concept’s growing importance within the Our Legacy brand.

The concept of the Work Shop itself is approaching a milestone of its own, with its ten-year anniversary coming up in 2026. What began in 2016 as a small, experimental corner of the brand has since grown into one of Our Legacy’s most defining pillars: a circular retail platform, atelier and collaborative lab where in-house artisans transform deadstock fabrics, samples and archival garments into one-of-a-kind pieces. This hands-on, materials-first approach has not only shaped the Work Shop identity but also fueled high-profile collaborations with Stüssy, Converse and Emporio Armani, as well as Scandinavian connoisseurs like Artek, Magniberg and Rörstrand.

The new space is anchored in its setting: a late-18th-century brick building brought to life by architects Arrhov Frick and developers Profan. Arched ceilings, exposed beams and cast-iron pillars sit alongside stainless steel furniture and movable fixtures, reflecting a space where old materials and new ideas can coexist.

Upcycling, once a side topic, has become central to the industry in recent years. And as more luxury and high-street brands begin experimenting with circular concepts, Our Legacy is one of the few brands that made circularity central to its identity long before everyone else realised its value.
