The Impossible Nudient Case is the Swedish mobile accessories brand’s first NFT (Non-fungible token), an owner’s license and a certificate of authenticity for a digital work of art. The virtual artwork can be put in different virtual environments or Metaverses, such as Decentraland, Somnium Space, and Minecraft, and is currently at auction as part of Swedish charity Musikhjälpen (Music Aid).

— It explores the borderline between what’s real and what’s imaginary, says Hawthorne. By experimenting with textures and materials in an experimental way, we’ve eliminated all limitations, enabling a design that challenges the norm. The work is both conceptual and tangible: Despite being an everyday object, it creates emotions and interest when you look at it, says Louise Hawthorne, who’s behind the design.

When it comes to Nudient’s physical offering, the brand just launched Bold, a new line of mobile cases created by award-winning designer Jesper Ståhl. The products are made entirely of recycled post-consumer polycarbonate plastic, a material that is certified according to global recycling standards and produced by grinding used plastic down and recreating it into a new durable construction.

— In an age where impressions are many, personal expression is a high priority for most of us. With this in mind, we wanted to develop a product that both provides extra protection for the phone and that stands out from the crowd, creative director Max Andersson comments on the launch.
