The service has created a fashion community where people share their personal style and create their own circle of fashion-loving friends. The platform has pioneered swapping instead of shopping. Once matched, these style twins can exchange garments and accessories between themselves to keep their wardrobes fresh in a more sustainable — and financially friendly — way.

The other week, the company invited German style-makers and trendsetters to Popswap Talks, moderated by swapping expert and Global Fashion Exchange founder Patrick Duffy, during Berlin Fashion Week.

— We never use 60-80% of what’s in our wardrobes. With Popswap, you can swap the clothes you don’t use for new garments that you love and in our app, the users create their own circle of fashion friends and style twins to swap clothes, bags, or shoes with. For some time now, we’ve noticed a growing user base of German style-makers. They are fashion-loving, environmentally conscious, and early adopters of new technology — values that go hand-in-hand with what Popswap has to offer, founder and CEO Lin Kowalska comments on entering Germany.
