As the world is opening up, so are the meeting places. The leading one for Scandinavian design, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week, unveiled a conceptual retake yesterday. This includes a renewed and deepened focus on Stockholm Design & Architecture Talks, where Konrad Olsson, editor-in-chief of Scandinavian Mind, is hired as the new curator of the program.
— At Scandinavian MIND, our focus has always been to cover the technological transformation of the lifestyle and design industries. Having good conversations, in podcasts and panel talks, is at the center of this important work. Therefore, we couldn’t be more excited about being trusted with curating the Stockholm Design & Architecture Talks, as it is one of the most influential and prestigious platforms in the global design industry, says Konrad Olsson.
In the premier edition, in February 2022, most of the lectures will be digital, to optimize the reach of an international audience.
The owner of the trade fairs Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Formex, the Nordic region’s largest exhibition center Stockholm International Fairs, has spent the pandemic to listen and talk to exhibitors, visitors, and partners before initiating a development renewing the concepts.
— A constant presence and being up to date 365 days a year is important. That is why we invest heavily both in our fairs and in other physical and digital activities. These will take place both simultaneously and between the fairs, during Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week in February and Formex and the other Stockholm Design Week in August. These two weeks will be all about furniture design, interior design, fashion, food, and music, says Chicie Lindgren, Business Area Manager Stockholm Design Events at Stockholm International Fairs.
