— MANÉR couldn’t exist without Malmö. The city’s cultural diversity has kept me curious and inspired, which has shaped both me and the company, Warsame says.

The best thing that makes me proud of Malmö:
Malmö has been my home for many years and I really thrive here. The best thing about Malmö is the city’s complexity, the contrast from the city’s many cultural backgrounds makes Malmö unique on so many levels. The dynamic interaction between different people from different cultures makes Malmö an interesting meeting place with an international character.
My favourite weekend routine:
I like to start my free weekend with an early morning bike ride to Ribersborgs Kallbadhus for a refreshing dip and sauna session. After that, a cup of black coffee and a sandwich at Solde.
My favourite cultural spot:
Places like Folkets Park is a perfect place for the cultural diversity of Malmö to meet and gather. A gathering place where everyone is welcome, of all ages. I like to take my kids there to play, check out art, and attend concerts.
My favourite place for dining out:
Just around the corner from Davidshallstorg and a stones throw from the Opera lies Riket, the most wonderful restaurant and bar in town. They have a great selection of natural wines and smaller dishes made with local ingredients.
However, I very much like to eat some sushi at my friends’ spot REBELL.
My favourite breakfast place:
A black coffee and sourdough bread sandwich with cheese at Söderberg och Sara’s cosy place on Sankt Knuts Torg.
My favourite place for fashion:
Per Ljung. A charmful menswear store with a great touch of service and details, and a good assortment of handpicked brands.
My favourite excursion/city escape:
A stroll around Slottsparken’s big green areas is a perfect spot to escape the city pulse. The park is located downtown and has a water canal that runs through it.
My favourite local entrepreneur or creative we want to promote:
Soldes coffee roastery! I love coffee and their own-roasted coffee is nothing short of amazing.
My favourite example of tech innovation in Malmö:
The game developer Massive, that has gained huge international recognition over the years. It’s inspiring how a small company from our small city can be such a big player internationally. And I’m not even a video game kind of guy!
My favourite hotel for a staycation:
Malmö Live with its panoramic views over the city and ideal location.
My favourite route for a run or walk:
I prefer to run along the canal that surrounds the city centre and connects the inner city.
My favourite space for great design:
Malmö Konsthall’s bright spaces with high ceilings showcase its current exhibitions in a great light. They also have SMAK right next door, a lunch restaurant with great food!
My favourite local media:
I want to mention Media Evolution, which over the years has been a great meeting place for creative businesses and people in Malmö’s media industry. Their amazing spaces are located in the old part of town.
