After the huge K-beauty trend and its 10-step-routines, there’s a growing global buzz for Scandinavian S-beauty and its innovative products with sustainability at its very core. In the latest issue of our printed magazine, we highlight 13 innovative beauty launches. This is #1.
Co-founder Magnus Nilsson-Vall explains how Reserol is the result of a group of researchers, entrepreneurs, and creators who found a common quest — to break new ground in beauty and health by combining the latest in science and technology.
— The brand was created with the idea of combining scientifically well-documented potent plant polyphenols and disruptive cosmetic formulations. Packed in Nordic minimalism at an affordable price level. The aim is to make the latest research available to consumers through innovative products. Our basic philosophy is to improve the health of individuals with a product range that retrieves its effect from well-known and proven substances combined with an innovative approach, he tells.
In times of intensively hand washing and disinfection, he continues, the brand has launched a night mask specially developed for hands, Reserol Nourish Repair Hand Mask.
— It is an intensely moisturizing formula of natural oils, rich in vitamins A, B, C, and E. Daucus carota sativa seed oil is a protective and repairing oil from carrot seeds that contains vitamins A and E that can help dry skin and protect against wrinkles. It is also rich in vitamins C and K which have antioxidant properties. The extract comes from the carrot and contains beta-carotene which can help the skin regenerate and can protect against oxidative stress as well as contribute to healthier skin. Beta-carotene can help the body’s own defenses against UV radiation and provide natural protection against early signs of aging. Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil is extracted from almonds and has moisturizing properties that also help reduce the signs of premature aging. It is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and E, which have a calming, nourishing, and moisturizing effect. and helps the skin regain its luster, Nilsson-Vall tells, continuing,
— It’s a hand cream that suits all skin types, especially mature, dry, and sensitive skin. You wash and dry your hands, apply it before going to bed, and let the mask give your hands a new life overnight. It works perfectly as an anti-aging hand cream for your hands.
How has this extensive use of hand wash and sanitizers damaged are our hands?
— When you wash and disinfect your hands a lot and continuously, you damage the natural skin barrier that regulates moisture and other things. It gives an imbalance in the skin and you can become dry, itchy, and get different reactions. What you should try to think about is to use a disinfectant that is less dehydrating or without alcohol. Then it is good to use a mild soap and to moisturize with, for example, a hand cream, says Nilsson-Vall.
What else do you have coming?
— We are about to launch a new sub-range — 4 new products and 1 that will be the link between the current products and the new. It’s gonna be exciting.
